Southwest asian traditional tattoos gallery
This site is dedicated to providing illustrations of traditional Southwest Asian (or West Asian) face and body tattoos. These illustrations are done by using photographs, images, and other illustrations as references for the tattoos. All the illustrations are done by me, please feel free to repost as long as you give credit (my social media will be linked).
notes
on red highlights:If there is a red highlight underneath a tattoo, this means the reference image used is not very clear, or the tattoos were hard to make out and I had to guess how the tattoo looks. This guess is based on other tattoo references seen from the same or neighbouring regions. I will provide the references used so each person can make their own judgment. If you feel I've made a mistake, you can message me through my linked social media.on references:
Finding references for traditional Southwest Asian tattoos can be difficult. Some regions and countries are easier to find compared to others. this is why the categories don't have the same amount of illustrations. If a country is not present, this means I am still looking for references for that country. If you have references, websites, images, or other sources you would like me to look at, please send me a message on my social media. I will keep updating this website with new illustrations whenever I find new references.
